Tornado Moving Northeast out of Florence

Please take this seriously. This tornado has been confirmed and has a fairly long track already. Emergency management reporting a house fire in Colbert County when this came through, probably from storm damage.

10:31 PM - The next call to action: Killen, Lexington, Rogersville. If you are in or near these communities, go through your tornado safety plan and stay in that safe place until you are sure the danger has passed. This is nothing to fool around with.

10:35 - Passing note: Ryan Hall is covering this tornado. He's done a good job with this outbreak over several days now.

10:37 - Keeping an eye on that velocity couplet (where the red and green wind colors are tight, winds blowing in opposite directions), but everyone within this polygon needs to stay sheltered. Can't gamble with this stuff. This tornado has been confirmed for a long time.

Chelsea Aaron with WAFF-48 has also been tracking this tornado for a long time along with the other storms. Not sure if other channels are livestreaming at this point. They might be now that it's coming through a more populated area, but I didn't see streams up earlier. I know WVTA in MS was really on top of it when it came through their area, Matt Laubhan and his staff.

10:40 - Best I can tell the confirmation of the tornado was back in Barton just Southwest of Florence earlier on that camera.

10:42 - Even if the rotation broadens out at times, I'd stay sheltered anywhere in this polygon. Supercell thunderstorms on the leading edge of a squall line can cycle up and down quickly. Happens all the time. It can look weaker on one radar scan, then stronger on another. Besides, this is moving through an area of poor radar coverage, the beams are far away from it. It is much more important that people have observed this tornado all the way from East MS even though it's at night.

10:45 - Taking the broad view, people in Marion and Franklin Counties want to watch that storm coming from Tupelo that looks like it's trying to produce a tornado.

10:47 - Lexington, Anderson, Rogersville, stay sheltered.

10:48 - And this is a fairly dangerous broken squall line tonight.

10:50 - Folks across the TN border in Loretto over to Minor Hill, be watching this closely and ready to go to shelter if a warning is required for areas up that way soon. It's a close call how much it moves more East or more Northeast.

10:53 - Meanwhile the main threat for most of Middle TN now is flooding.

10:55 - Seeing more of a bow echo developing with this now. And the storm may be trending more East than North.
