Severe Thunderstorm Warning (Includes Huntsville)

I'd go ahead and shelter for this one to be on the safe side.

12:41 AM - From what I can see, WHNT-19 are the only ones doing a live stream online locally for this one.

12:43 - Broadcast media reports a rotating wall cloud along Limestone/Madison County line a few minutes ago.

12:44 - Here's a good look at the polygon.

That report of a wall cloud was from Channel 19 in Huntsville. Have not seen it show up elsewhere.

But these storms have a history tonight, and I'd respect that, play it safe. We're fortunate to be getting the weaker leftovers of this system.

12:49 - From Triana over to Owens Cross Roads, New Hope, and Gurley, I'd get to a good safe place and stay there - lowest floor of your home, away from windows in a hallway or smaller room.

12:51 - The worst part of the storm is over Redstone Arsenal right now. Limestone County has been completely cleared from this warning, only the SE sliver was in it anyway.

12:52 - The rotation looks broad at this point, but even 60 mph wind gusts can be dangerous.

12:53 - And a new Tornado Warning includes Sewanee, TN. Usually don't post warnings for them, but if it's something like a possible tornado, sometimes will. It's on the fringes of the area I keep an eye on.

And that's a pretty large polygon out ahead of that possible tornado in Southern/Eastern TN.

I think that is the same storm that earlier produced the tornado that came through (or at least near) Florence.

12:57 - Let's zoom out to a broad view of how the squall line is progressing as we're about to the top of the hour.

1 AM - In far Northwest Alabama, the severe thunderstorm/tornado threat is ending and being replaced by a flash flooding threat.

1:05 - The severe thunderstorms are coming up on Owens Cross Roads and Gurley.

New post for warning issued to include Jackson County, basically tracking from the part of the storms near Gurley.
