Forecast Summary

The rest of today, we'll have periods of rain, maybe some thunder, definitely some gusty winds hanging around at times. But the severe weather threat is over for North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee.

We'll probably see a High of about 73 today.

It'll stay breezy tomorrow, and latest model guidance shows the clouds may be slow to clear out. Could see an isolated lingering shower or two, but I doubt we'll see much rain left over beyond the early morning hours. High will be in the mid-50's and Low in upper 40's. Winds turning back around to North/Northwest behind this strong front.

The fun really starts on Tuesday with a High in the upper 50's, Low in upper 30's, sunny skies. That cold morning is going to throw some people for a loop who haven't been keeping up with the weather anyway. It's one of those late-season cold snaps. They do happen.

Wednesday looks sunny too with a High in the upper 60's but a morning Low in the lower-to-mid-30's. So some of us could see some frost. Which can happen through the first couple weeks of April. People with crops or even plants out on the porch, take note, of course.

A system moving through mainly the Ohio River Valley might bring us some isolated showers on Thursday/Thursday night, but overall we should stay mostly sunny, with a High near 70, Low in the mid-40's.

Friday and Saturday look to feature plenty of sunshine with a High in the mid/upper 60's and Lows in the 40's.

And I'm probably taking a break from this blog until next weekend. Just giving you some idea of what to expect first.

If anybody wants more detail, here's the forecast I did Friday night, before all the severe weather issues we had tonight. The long-term part of the forecast probably still holds up okay. But I've got some hectic times ahead. So without any more severe weather threat, I'm letting this site cool off for a while.
