Weather Radio Outage (Cullman Transmitter)

As they say, you can tune to the Arab transmitter, and still get the alerts for Cullman County. That's Channel 6, at 162.525 megahertz. The Cullman transmitter is Channel 3 at 162.45 mhz. It's the one that is down.

People in Walker and Winston Counties will probably want to tune to the Winfield transmitter (which had a recent outage but has been back online for a few days now), which I believe is also Channel 6 from when I used to live down that way, frequency is 162.525 mhz which is the same as Arab, so yes, guess it is Channel 6 if you're closer to that transmitter as opposed to closer to the Arab transmitter.

At my location, the Arab channel isn't picking up so well, so I'm tuning in to the Oneonta transmitter, which covers Cullman, Walker, and Blount Counties. It's Channel 2 at a frequency of 162.425 megahertz.

Going to add a note about this in the "notes" section of the latest forecast here at 11:35 PM CDT.

Here is a list of stations for Southern/Middle Tennessee, just in case anybody needs it.

It looks like the Shelbyville, TN transmitter is also down for now. And people need to know who usually depend on such channels.
