This new circulation North of Addison . . . warning does not include city of Cullman this time but does include West Point, Falkville, up to Hartselle and Priceville in Morgan County.
Anywhere in this polygon, take shelter.
Going to show other tornado polygons soon. Everyone in them should STAY SHELTERED. We have now had reports of damage and injuries.
5:43 - These are our only two Tornado Warnings on the board anymore, so we'll focus on them.
We've got one possible tornado East of Eva headed up toward Owens Crossroads and New Hope.
And the other is hugging the Winston/Cullman/Morgan County line and heading up toward Falkville and Hartselle. But if you are ANYWHERE in these warning polygons, respect them. Storms can change direction quickly. I had to take shelter a while ago because one did quicker than I expected. And it's best to just play it safe on a day like today.
Even in the severe thunderstorm warnings, I would stay in a safe place.
5:49 - Zooming out so you can see that Severe Thunderstorm Warning polygon better. I thought there were more than one, but things got hectic there for a while. There is just the one stretching all the way up to Gurley, that yellow polygon. I kind of want to show all the storms that are close to each other at the same time.
5:51 - Now that eastern Tornado Warning has been cancelled. We only have the one that includes Falkville, Hartselle, and Priceville. And look, you gotta' respect this stuff this evening. We've had damage and some injuries, I think around Sipsey earlier.
5:56 - Even people in Decatur, just to play it safe, you are on the fringe of this polygon, I'd be in a safe place.
6:01 PM - Hey everybody, great news for the moment! The Tornado Warning has been cancelled as the storm has weakened below severe limits. And we currently have no Tornado or Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in the immediate area.
We do have some Flash Flood Warnings.
Having said that, the NWS Huntsville advises that they are watching a group of cells in Morgan and Southern Madison County in case they try to rotate again. So everybody be alert and ready to get to your shelter room within five minutes if a warning is required.
Going to start a new post and collect the Flash Flood Warnings.
