"Cold Weather"/Wind Chill Advisory

They used to call this a wind chill advisory, but I guess they decided people couldn't understand it and changed it to "cold weather" now. Anyway it includes all of us around here. As you can read below from the official sources.

  is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of

  subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a

hat, and gloves.


Keep pets indoors as much as possible.


Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
