The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a


* Flash Flood Warning for...

  North Central Cullman County in north central Alabama...

  Southeastern Morgan County in north central Alabama...


* Until 315 PM CDT.


* At 1219 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated

  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between

  1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is

  1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to

  begin shortly.


  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.


  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.


  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban

           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as

           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.


* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Cullman, Good Hope, Baldwin, Vinemont, Eva, Phelan and Ryan

  Crossroads.

  Lamar County in west central Alabama...


* Until 430 PM CDT.


* At 1237 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain

  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are

  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected

  to begin shortly.


  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between

    1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over

    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Carbon Hill, Arley, Kansas, Nauvoo, Eldridge, Camp McDowell,

    Poplar Springs, Ashbank, Corinth Rec Area, Curry, Falls City,
