Wayne/Lawrence Counties
6:11 PM - Of course you want to stay sheltered East of Waynesboro in the path of this possible tornado.
SPC advises that even as the squall line starts to fill in more over Mississippi, a tornado threat as well as a damaging wind threat will exist within the line, especially with any supercells that are able to form within or just ahead of the line. So basically saying don't let your guard down even though we have fewer isolated supercells as the evening goes on.
6:17 - Even though the rotation is looking sort of broad at the moment, if in the northern part of Lawrence County TN, I'd stay sheltered to be on the safe side. Even without a tornado, the damaging winds can be a real threat. And after what we've seen earlier, I think it is wise to respect tornado warnings tonight. Usually you don't have absolute confirmation at night. Better to play it safe.
6:25 - All right, media reporting multiple fatalities from Montgomery County, TN from tornadoes earlier. Sad to report, but a reminder to take warnings seriously tonight. And make sure you and loved ones have a way to get them, that will wake you up. An outdoor siren isn't going to cut it. Weather radio is best, but at least enable wireless emergency alerts on your phone.
